Here it is folks, after many, many hours it’s finally here, a sneak peek of Chapter One of, Of Dolls and Men, book one in my Pretty Penny Series.
Please note that this is still very much a work in progress and things will likely change upon the books publication. This is a sneak preview and any and all feedback is greatly apreciated.
Of Dolls and Men
“Oh my god, do you know what this is?”
The hole in the side of the shipping crate was thin, but it was evidently wide enough to see through. Christian could make out a curious, glitter-coated eye staring at him from the outside and tried, yet again, to scream for help. He couldn’t, of course. He wished for the thousandth time that he’d never sent that damn email and cursed himself doubly for signing it with his real name.
“What, I wanna see!” Came another excited female voice.
“Shove off Bella, stop hogging the peephole.”
There were three of them?

Illness has really hit me recently. But…I promised myself that the full first draft of my new book Of Dolls and Men, the first in my #PrettyPennyAssitant series, will be finished by the end of Nov.
I will keep that promise.
I’ll be posting the first chapter for free, here, on my Website on Sat 1st December and am looking to get a sneak-peek out in time for Xmas.
Hope everyone’s having a great Monday so far and I wish you the best of luck in whatever you have planned <3
Day Thirty of my #30DayChallenge. That’s it. I’m done. No more headlines and no more challenge. I’m oddly satisfied with how this has turned out. I’ve missed days, either due to illness or lack of internet, but I’ve still kept going. I’ve reached The End…and I am proud of that.
It’s been an interesting experiment to headline each day. You have to really think about the little things – the odd thoughts that pass through your mind at random times. You can’t have each day entitled “What the Fuck did I do Today?” Every day is different, even if that difference is merely how you approach it.
Now…What to do next I wonder…
Day Twenty-nine of my #30DayChallenge and I’M ITCHY!
It turns out I didn’t have an infestation of fleas. Merely an allergic reaction to some new washing powder. I didn’t know humans could be so itchy! This is unfair!
Day Twenty-eight of my and I’m getting eaten alive! Battle lines are being drawn, and the Geneva Convention is going out of the window. It’s chemical warfare time!
Day Twenty-seven of my and I’m starting out strong! I’m caffeinated and ready to write! GO, TEAM! \o/
It’s come back to this. That time of year when I stare at a blank screen, saying “It’s only 200 words, it’s fine.”
I’m sat here listening to my old playlists and going through all of my old (not necessarily good) self-comfort routines.
I’m slowing down my breathing by singing to slow(ish) songs and every so often tapping at my keyboard.
Having to articulate my feelings helps.
I always think in words anyway — pictures accompany the words, but essentially, I’m thinking aloud inside my head all the time — so typing isn’t something that’s hard for me to do.
Apparently, not everyone thinks like this — which is something that blew my mind when I first found out.
One day, a short time ago…

Day Twenty-five of my #30DayChallenge & it’s an uphill battle to get rid of that monkey. Self-discipline has never really come naturally to me, it’s a learned behaviour, & on days that I feel like crap, it tends to slip. One step at a time. I’ll get there.
Day Twenty-four of my #30DayChallenge and I’m starting early. It has nothing to do with the fact that I’m fully caffeinated and bouncing off the walls like a hyperactive Chipmunk, NoSir, not at all…
